An Order (S.I. No. 444 of 1998) declaring this code to be a Code of Practice for the purposes of section 6 of the Organisation of Working Time Act, 1997 was made by Tom Kitt, Minister for Labour, Trade and Consumer Affairs on 19th November 1998.
